While it’s nice to have other people cheer for you, the biggest cheerleader in your life has got to be you.
I’ve learned this lesson loud and clear the past few years, as I do a lot of my best work on things nobody will ever see or that may not seem like big things to anyone else. And I am at peace with that.
I’ve learned this:
When you do something big, celebrate it.
When you do something small, celebrate it.
When you make progress, celebrate it.
On those days you’re struggling to make progress, remember the past few days, the past few months, the past few years. Think of where you were, and where you are now.
Celebrate the progress. Celebrate the journey. Celebrate everything.
Root for yourself. Every day.
So, I'm hearing I should be celebrating. A lot. Hmm. My intensity has me constantly zooming past that step.
